With the PlayOnBar
number being pushed into the InstrumentSchedule, there’s no reason why Instruments shouldn’t have the ability to now have multiple sets of InstrumentSchedules
and play the correct sound on the correct beat of the correct bar.
We’re stretching the definition of “refactor” here by going whole hog on the code restructuring, but honestly its all of a set piece.
I then turned my sights on a crash that started happening as a result of this change. When I stopped playing the game in editor, Unreal would crash. Which isn’t great:
Wasn’t all that successful. But I did get a better understanding of what was going on.
